The spring tradition continues...
Our signature event for Hospice Palliative CareCenter has a new name and location. The NEWHope Run & Picnic will take place April 14, 2018 at Bailey Park, Innovation Quarter in downtown Winston-Salem. Funds generated help us to successfully bridge the $2 million dollar financial gap between reimbursements and the cost of care.
New event features
Bailey Park Picnic
This centerpiece activity will make best use of our new venue by providing a true family value in entertainment and enjoyment. Picnic packages for families and individuals will include picnic meals, entry fees and, of course, an official NEWHope Run picnic blanket. All bundled together for convenience and value.
Bailey Park is the perfect setting for picnicking on the green while enjoying music by local talents as well as strolling entertainers. The WSS Red Sea of Sound will be on hand to perform the national anthem and provide pre-race entertainment.
Five Mile Race
This is no picnic, five miles from Bailey Park to the historic West End and back. The new distance will lure the novice runner who wants to step up to a longer distance while giving the avid road warrior a chance to compete at a faster pace at a slightly shorter Race. This event replaces the 10K on the event schedule.
A family stroll around the park perfect for those who may want to participate with family and friends and then take part in either the 5K or new 5 Mile races. The Stroller Mile is first on the schedule allowing participants to be back in time for the start of the 5K and 5 Mile events.
